Paternity Leave for a period of 15 days can be availed by any male Government employee who has less than two surviving children.
Such leave can be availed during confinement of his wife for child birth i.e. upto 15 days or upto six month from the date of delivery of the child.
It may be combined with leave of any other kind.
During such leave, he shall be paid leave salary equal to the pay drawn immediately before proceeding on leave.
